Rave review of What the Wind Brings
Here’s an absolutely blockbusting review of What the Wind Brings, my historical/magical realism novel about shipwrecked slaves who melded with indigenous people in mid-1500s Ecuador and beat the conquistadors of Quito to a standstill. I consider it my magnum opus.
The review, in the Ottawa Review of Books, is by the estimable Canadian specific critic, Robert Runté.
